Presentation of Studying
“About the Faith of Atsuhime” (Outline)

The presentation was about the relationship between Atsuhime and 6th Shogun Ienobu’s wife Teneiin, Konoe Family which dominated Japanese imperial court, feudal lord Nariakira Shimazu and 9th feudal lord of Hachinohe clan Nobuyuki Nanbu. The presentation continued with basing on how Atushime involved with Onshin-bo at Taiseki-ji, They also introduced that Atsuhime was praying for peaceful society will come to reality, including the resolution of “Matter on succession after the death of 13th Shogun”. Thus she applied the prayer to 51st High Priest Nichiei Shonin who resided at Jozai-ji at that time. With application, Nichiei Shonin chanted Daimoku and prayed for 51 days, 12 hours of Daimoku per day. As a result, Atsuhime was very satisified that the prayer was answered and Atsuhime offered Gokuyo (donation) of repaying the debts to Josen-ji Temple and Nichiei Shonin.
In the end all members who shared the study pledged to advance for chanting Daimoku and Shakubuku, aiming for the 750th year of Anniversary of Revealing the Truth and Upholding Justice, based on how Atsuhime overcame the government upheaval by her strong faith.
