Oeshiki Ceremony (Oct 21th, 2006)

Oeshiki Ceremony, the ceremony to celebrate for Nichiren Daishonin passed away on Oct. 13th 1282 but have shown the eternal life of existing in past, present and future life, was solemnly conducted.

Prior to the ceremony, many (Hokkeko) believers gathered temple and making flowers, painting colors on rice cakes and decoration of alter have done with Chief Priest (Residential Priest) under friendly atmosphere.

And on the day of the ceremony, Kenzen (offering food to Three Treasures), recitation of sutra and reading Rissho Ankoku Ron and remonstrations by successive High Priests, was proceeded solemnly and there was also a lecture from Rev. Shido Takahashi, the Chief Priest of Homyoji Temple in Ohno City, Fukui Pref.

The flowers decorated alter was taken down after the ceremony and shared to visiting believers.
